Can we really read the person's mind? No but when you perform magic tricks, anything is possible so lets discuss some of them.

The first magic mind reading trick is called name of the dead. For this you will need a sheet of paper and three volunteers. You tear the paper into three pieces and tell two of the participants to write on each sheet the name of a person who is still alive. The third person will be instructed to write the name of someone who has already passed on.

Take note that when you cut the paper into three pieces, the top and bottom will have only one rough edge while the one in the center will have rough edges on both sides. To make people believe you can read their minds, all you have to do is give the center piece to the one who will write the name of the person who is already dead.

To make people believe that you can do this, you tell them to drop the three pieces of paper into a hat which is resting on the table or raised above your head. You then put your hand in the hat and simply feel the paper which has the rough edge and then take it out.

To build the suspense, put that piece of paper on your forehead to make them think you are sure about the sheet of paper you picked. You then give this paper to the one who wrote on the paper that has the rough edges.

The next mind reading trick is called famous names. For this, you will need to get 10 famous names from the audience and then write these down on a separate card. They are mixed and then you make a prediction of the name written on the card which will be checked by someone from the audience.

For this trick to work, you will need ten small cards or ten small sheets of paper. The 10 famous names should come from the audience so once they give out a name, write it down and then do the same for the rest.

What the audience does not know is that the first famous name written will also be written on the rest. You then put these into the hat and shake it. You now ask a volunteer from the audience to reach into the hat and give you the paper.

You put this on your head to create a dramatic effect and then say the name of the famous person aloud which will be confirmed by the volunteer. So no one will discover what you did, make sure to get rid of the slips.

The two minding reading tricks mentioned are really simple to do and anyone can do them. This just proves that magicians who perform this trick don't really have the talent but rather pull a fast one to make people believe that they have this gift.

The Torn And Restored Magic Trick

Ever seen someone tear a piece of paper and within a few seconds witness it put back together? If you think about it, that is not possible. But if you know the secret of this magic trick, you can achieve the same results.

For this, you will need to prepare a few things. Lets say you are using a playing card and before you perform the trick, rip off already a piece of the card of the same color and suit you will be using to make people believe that is going to be the one you are going to tear.

When you are ready, place the card facing in front of you and fold it into four pieces. Crease it and then unravel it. While you are doing that, explain to those who are watching that you are doing this so the card can be torn evenly.

In essence you are holding two cards with the extra torn card piece pressed by your thumb onto the side of the card that is facing you. You rip down the upper middle piece of the card stopping at the center and then fold down the upper right corner and slide out the card which you ripped earlier making people believe that you just tore it in front of them.

To make the trick more believable, you rip it one more time by folding what is now the lower right corner behind the card. As you are bending the piece back, you slide the extra piece into view again and rip it off. Don't forget to put this behind the card and fold the card in half again.

You rip the card one more time and when you are done, you fan the pieces to make everyone see that there are three pieces of one card in your hand. You can even call someone in the audience to check it and then when you set the torn pieces on the table, you take away the loose piece using your thumb and hide this in your hand by using a finger palm move.

With one hand, you make the second card come out which was never torn in the first place appear out of nowhere which can be examined by the person you called earlier and be surprised to see that the card has been restored to its original form. As for the torn card that is hidden in the other hand, quickly slide this in your pocket and bring your hand out so no one will know that you made a switch.

The torn and restored magic trick can be performed in 6 simple steps. Don't expect to learn it overnight since it will take time to master since you have to make sure that the torn area is proportionate with the one you will make everyone believe you will tear later. Otherwise, they will notice the difference and your people will know that you made a switch.

What you wear on the street is different from what you wear in a children's party so don't even think of wearing a tall black hat and suit. But still, you will need to wear a comfortable outfit and don't forget to bring with you some tools for the trick.

To become a street magician, you must first learn some simple magic tricks. Ideally, these should have a lot of movement and color so that you will not only get the attention of a few people but a crowd. Some examples of those being used often include cards, coins, levitation and rings.

So you know nothing will go wrong, call a few friends over and perform in front of them. If the magic tricks go without any hitches, then good for you. Just keep practicing and do it also in front of others since this will help build your confidence. Cup Magic Tricks

There are many magic tricks you can do with a cup. Here are two of them which you can practice and perform in front of your friends.

The first is called the Three Cup Shuffle Magic Trick. Here, you use a poker chip or large coin and guess where it is hidden. For you to tell where it is each time, you have to put a piece of invisible thread measuring about 3 to 4 inches long taped to it. You have to be sure that no one will see this and know what to look for when the cups are shuffled.

The trick begins by explaining to the audience that you can find the chip regardless of which cup they put it in. You then ask someone from the audience if anyone is willing to challenge you on that. (Chances are someone always does.)

Once you have a volunteer, let this person inspect the three identical cups and when it is finished, you place the chip over one cup and then let them shuffle as long as they like.

To create suspense, turn your back and only face them again when they are finished. You now look over the three cups searching for the invisible thread and when you find it, tap the cup so the volunteer will open it.

The second is called the Cup and Balls Trick. The objective here is to let all the balls pass through all the cups. For this, you will need three cups that are not see through, four identical balls and a wand.

You begin by stacking two of the cups together then place one of the identical balls into the second cup and place the third cup underneath hiding the ball. Don't forget to place the other three balls into the third cup before you go on stage.

When it is time, dump the three balls onto the table in a row with gaps in between them. Place the cups behind the balls with the cup that has the secret ball in the center. You should practice this often to avoid having the hidden ball come out.

To make people that the cups are empty, you tap each of the cups using your wand. Then you begin by placing the ball in the center on top of the cup that is behind it and stack the other cups on top. Tap it using your wand then lift all three cups to show to the audience that the ball has gone through.

Next, you place the cup that has the other secret ball on top of the ball that has gone through the cup. Place a ball on top of the cup with the two balls underneath it and put the other two cups on top. Again, you tap using your wand and show once again that the balls have gone through.

Put the cup with the remaining secret ball on top of the balls that have already gone through the cup.

Now put the last ball on top of the cup that has three balls inside. Put the other two cups on top of the cup that has the ball on top of it then tap one more to show that three balls have gone through.

This magic trick is a little bit complicated than the first but with some practice, you will be able to make people believe that a the ball actually went through the cups.

How to do The Voodoo Magic Trick

There are many versions of the voodoo magic trick. What you are trying to do here is simply to make the person believe you know what they are thinking of or what they had written down. One example is telling the person what they had written down on a piece of paper.

For this, you will need to round up somebody and ask them if they want to perform a magic trick. If they are more than happy, tell them to write something in a piece of paper. When they are finished, you instruct them to crumple the piece of paper and put it on the ashtray.

You then light it up using a match or a lighter and when it is completely burned, you get the burned piece of paper and rub this on your arms. When you are done, you tell the person what was written on the paper.

The key to making this trick work is being able to look at the paper before this is completely burned. You should do this without the other person noticing so they won't know how you did it.

A similar trick will be letting a volunteer think of a number between one and one hundred and saying this out loud. You then show the piece of paper with the same number written that will really make them believe you can read their minds.

For this to work, you will need to wrap a small piece of cellophane tape on your thumb and a broken pencil lead which you will set on your thumb. Before they say the number, you pretend to write the number they are thinking of on the piece of paper. When they say it, you use your thumb with the broken lead and write it down then show it to them.

There is also the 'think of any card" magic trick. Instead of writing something down, you simply give the person time to think which card they like and then say it aloud. When they say, it, you simply take it out of your pocket and surprise them because you just showed them the card they had picked.

But how do you do that? A lot of people say this trick is a wild guess but you can get a way with it since many pick the nine of diamonds, ace of spades, queen or hearts or the six of clubs. For this to work, you must have all the cards ready and then simply pull the right one out of your pocket. Just make sure you know where all of these are located so you get it right the firs time.

Can anyone really read a person's mind? Of course not but this is the beauty about magic because you are creating the illusion that you can. It will just take some time to practice each of three magic tricks mentioned so you can get this right so you will be able to make everyone believe you have this gift.

There is a difference between watching and doing magic tricks. When you are part of the audience, you are there to enjoy the show but when you are on stage, you have to give an amazing performance or else be booed by the crowd so when it is your turn to do the tricks, you better be ready.

Preparation is key to be able to perform a good show. You have probably mastered a few tricks already so all you have to do is figure out which ones will be part of the act. If this is your first time, make sure you can keep the audience entertained for 9 to 10 minutes.

You can time this and practice your act in front of a few friends. If they like it, then there is nothing to worry about but if they have some comments and suggestions, listen since this could help make your performance more interesting.

First time magicians don't always have to choose the venue for the magic show because there is one already so you just have to sign up. This is sometimes known as amateur night where magicians, singers, dancers and other artists are able to make their debut. Be sure to come early so you can relax before it is your turn to go on stage.

There are so many great bar magic tricks you can try out. Just to give you an idea, here are a few which will tell you what equipment you need and how to do it.

The first is called the sucking glass trick because you are trying to make beer go into the glass with touching the beer itself. For this you will need an ashtray, an empty pint glass, some beer, a box of matches and a coin.

When everything is ready, you pour a shallow layer of beer into the ashtray. You then place a coin in the middle of the beer, light a match and place it horizontally on the coin. You take the empty glass and place it over the coin and match and within seconds, a vacuum will cause the beer to be sucked into the glass.

A similar trick is called Push the Glass. Here, you push a small glass through the handle of a beer mug without touching both glasses. For this, you will need small glass, a beer mug and a straw.

Once you put everything on the table, you take the straw and stick it through the handle of the beer mug and push the small glass with it. This enables you to push the small glass through the handle without touching either of the two.

The next trick is called the Olive Bridge. Here, you make the olive leap over a hurdle and into a whisky glass. For this to work, you will need an olive, a brandy glass, three whisky tumblers and a straw.

You set it up by placing the olive on the bar and the brandy glass nearby. Put two whisky glasses upside down six inches apart from the olive with the straw between the two like a hurdle. The third whisky glass should be placed another 6 inches away from the hurdle but this one should be with the opening facing up.

Now put the brandy glass upside down and over the olive. Hold the base of the brandy glass and start twirling it around as this will create a centrifugal force that will cause the olive to rise and spin around. Keep working on it as you are moving this over to the hurdle. Once it is over the hurdle, stop twirling and then drop the olive in.

The next trick is called the corker. Here, you are trying to get the cork out of a bottle without breaking the glass. For this, you will need a silk scarf, an empty wine bottle and a cork.

You place the cork into the bottle and then grab a scarf by holding it in two diagonally opposite corners. You guide the center of the scarf into the bottle without letting go of the corners. While you are holding the bottle horizontally, you can move the cork onto the side of the scarf loop that is formed and be able to pull out the cork without breaking the bottle.

There are other magic tricks you can do. You should just work on them so that with a little practice, you get the admiration of the audience rather than embarrassing yourself. So do some research and have some fun. After all, drinking alcohol is just one of the things you can do at a bar.

There are hundreds of different card tricks out there, and almost anyone can do them. You just have to have patience and you really have to practice to get the card tricks just right. Even one little slip will give away your secrets. When that happens, the trick is ruined. Make sure you can do it over and over again without slipping up before you attempt to do it for anyone. Once you mess up, the illusion of the trick is broken.

Though I only know a few card tricks, I won’t share how to do them with many people. Though they want to know, it’s a matter of keeping up the illusion. One in particular is very spectacular, as it involves a small fire and numbers appearing on my hand. Unless I have a very good reason, I’m not going to teach anyone else how to do it. The fact that I got it out of someone is a miracle, and it certainly is a showstopper that I don’t want to share. Many people who are into card tricks might feel like this, but they may show you the basics so that you can come up with some of your own.

*Never warn the public about what you're going to do in your act (unless it's part of the plan to fool the public), or *Never show the same magic trick right after doing it the first time, no matter how much the audience begs you. Only exception would be if you know another way to do the trick.

*Never explain the secret of the trick (this is exposure and harms other magicians) to anyone just to show off your "mad magic skills", cause it can spread pretty quickly. If you plan on writing a book "100 Best Magic Tricks Explained", that is alright because it will only be bought by magicians and those with a sincere interest in magic. People who just want to know the secret will go on the net, they are too cheap to buy an actual magic book.

*Never perform the trick if you haven't practiced it enough. You have to be an expert in your tricks and they should be very easy for you. If the tricks are hard to perform, don't rely on your luck.

*Don't be embarrassed if you mess up in front of your public. If you can't fix it without anyone noticing, just play along with your public. Laugh with the crowd as if the trick was planned to be unsuccessful, then move on to the next trick without making any comments on last one.

*Never argue with the audience. If someone makes a negative comment (for example, "I think I saw an extra penny behind your back!"), don't be distracted. Just ignore the comment and continue the trick. Be humorous and only answer public's questions/comments (if necessary) after you're done with your trick.

*Practice a lot. So you don't suck like BO, because nothing stinks like BO. The more you practice, the better your tricks will be. *Speak clearly. Try talking with a pencil in your teeth to help enunciate your words more. You might also consider using a mic so people can hear you better. Lapel mics are great and they free up both hands.
